This silent fantastic looking semi-arid region is inhabited by some families grazing goats and cattle and moyas obtain water from digging in the earth. The temperature is high during the day and at night benign. The rainy season corresponds to the months of April, May, October and November and the dry season is concentrated in the months of July, August and September. Along with St. Augustine and Tierradentro Tatacoa is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Huila.
