City ipiales

Ipiales City is located south east of the department of Nariño, on the boundaries with the Republic of Ecuador, at an altitude of 2,900 meters above sea level and an average temperature of 12 ° C. The main economic activity of Ipiales lies in agriculture, as well as border trade using its border with Ecuador, also plays an important role tourism.  For the large trade with Ecuador, is considered the second Ipiales land port of Colombia. Ipiales 15 kilometer is the Nevado volcano Cumbal, 4,764 meters, which can be clearly seen from Ipiales and from the city of Tulcán in Ecuador, this volcano does not record any activity since 1930.
